Richard Turner

Richard, the owner of Redbone Guitar Boutique, has been playing the guitar for many years. He has a great disposition for teaching young children and has had much experience working with children throughout the years. As a father of 2, Richard understands the psychology of children and applies that to his teaching methods. Richard enjoys the evaluation process and often decides which instructor each student should transition to.
Some of Richard's specialties include working with younger students and
teaching Beatles songs.
Richard teaches: Beginner electric/acoustic guitar
Greg Norris
Greg is a bassist for several music groups around town, including Beverly Houston & Breezin' and the Jazz Protagonists. He has been an active musician for over 15 years, has made Grammy nominated recordings, and has worked with musicians such as Ray Charles, Julio Iglesias, and Larry Carlton. Although his principal instrument is bass, he also plays guitar. He has taught bass and guitar for over 10 years.
Some of Greg's specialties include teaching music theory, British Invasion guitar, and
funk and latin bass.
Greg teaches: Beginner to Advanced electric/upright bass and Beginner electric/acoustic guitar
Cliff Wright
Cliff started playing guitar at the age of 12. He's played with several bands in Texas, including bands in Austin and San Antonio. He is currently the guitar player for “Shamu Rocks”, Seaworld San Antonio's summer rock show.
Some of Cliff's specialties include teaching lead guitar techniques in the styles of modern and vintage music and music theory.
Cliff teaches: Intermediate to Advanced electric/acoustic guitar
David Gray
David has played the guitar for over 32 years. He started playing at the young age of 12 and started taking lessons at the age 13. In addition to his guitar playing, David is also an audio engineer. He's always had an interest in recording and is currently Redbone Guitar Boutique's in house recording engineer for various recording projects.
Some of David's specialties include teaching music theory, blues & improvisation,
and recording & producing.
David teaches: Beginner to Intermediate electric/acoustic guitar

Rachel has been playing guitar for 9 years. She has performed with several groups and as a solo artist. She currently plays in a band with her family called The Lavens. She recently graduated from North East School of the Arts where she studied Musical Theatre. She will be starting her education this Fall at Trinity University.
Some of Rachel's specialties include teaching rhythm guitar, voice, songwriting,
and music theory.
Rachel teaches: Voice and Beginner Guitar
Originally from Brazil, Nayara has been playing the classical piano since she was 7 years old. She is currently attending the University of the Incarnate Word, where she is a Music Therapy and Pre-Med major.
Some of Nayara's specialties include teaching young children, music theory, and ear training.
Nayara teaches: Beginner piano/keyboard
Michael has been teaching drums for 3 years. He attended the University of Texas at San Antonio and acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree. Some styles that Michael plays are jazz, country, rock (all genres), afro-cuban, brazilian, and R&B. He has played with several bands including the State Jazz Ensemble for Texas, the Alex Sutherlin Project, and Del Feo.
Some of Michael's specialties include teaching students of all ages.
Michael teaches: Beginner to Advanced drums
